Surface water drainage

Following a request for a site visit at Acorn Cottage regarding an overflowing  septic tank - the tank was surcharged, discharging into the rear garden.

We excavated a pipe within the soak away / drainage field as it was located along a boundary hedge to discover the following problem. Drainage field constructed with 4 “ / 110 mm UPVC perforated underground drainage pipe. Unfortunately the pipe was full of fibrous roots, which caused the drainage field to fail. Options are clear roots (HPWJ root cutter) and replace with a new drainage field.
