A call from the owner of Ollerton Green Farm in Smallwood set this job in motion. The property was going up for sale, and the sewage package treatment plant needed sorting out before a compliance report could be issued.

The problems reported were:

  • The tanker firm contracted to desludge the plant was unable to complete the job.

  • Media was found floating in the chambers within the unit.

  • The property was for sale, and a compliance report was required as part of the sale process.

We provided a quotation to complete the following work:

  • Service and repair of the Marsh Ensign PE08IPS sewage treatment plant, including replacement of the media and fitting a secure net cover.

  • Desludging of the plant.

  • A drainage survey to confirm that surface and foul drainage were correctly segregated.

Once the work was complete, the property met the Environment Agency's binding rules for off-mains sewage discharge. We supplied the client with all documentation for retention, including service and waste transfer documentation and the compliance report.
