Sewage Treatment Plant Installation in Shropshire | Environment Agency Compliance

Sewage Treatment Plant Installation in Shropshire – Full Compliance, No Hidden Extras

We were contacted by Dr Holdsworth following an Environment Agency binding rules site visit to his Shropshire property. The visit had confirmed that the existing wastewater system was non-compliant, and a full upgrade was required to meet current regulations.

We attended site, carried out the necessary assessment, and provided a detailed quotation covering everything required to deliver a compliant system.

The Brief

Dr Holdsworth approached three local contractors for quotations — a mix of groundworkers, builders, and off-mains drainage installers. Our quotation was structured as a complete package, with no hidden extras, covering:

  • Skip hire and waste removal

  • Desludging of the existing system

  • Shropshire Council building control application and sign-off

  • Supply and installation of the new sewage treatment plant

  • Commissioning on completion

  • Registration on the Environment Agency wastewater register

That transparency — one figure, everything included — was the deciding factor. Dr Holdsworth appointed us on that basis.

The Installation

The works were completed to full specification. On completion, Dr Holdsworth received the complete documentation package:

  • Manufacturer warranties for the sewage treatment plant

  • Shropshire Council building control approval

  • Electrical installation certificate

  • All waste transfer documentation

  • Environment Agency registration confirmation

The site was fully reinstated and left clean and tidy on the day of completion.

The Outcome

Dr Holdsworth was completely satisfied with both the installation and the process from start to finish. The property now operates a fully compliant wastewater system, registered with the Environment Agency in line with the General Binding Rules for small sewage discharges.
