The Ridgeway Country & Holiday Park - correctly sized / compliant drainage field

We were contacted by a Country and Holiday Park with regard to a non compliant discharge from the on site sewage package treatment plant, on investigation of the site the following points were noted ;

  • Site served by a GRAFF 100 PE sewage package treatment plant. - sized correctly ✔️

  • Currently 50 linear meters of drainage field - not confirmed

  • Construction / design / location of drainage field unknown.

We completed a porosity test within the area allocated for the drainage field, calculated the linear meterage of the drainage field required and confirmed the ground under test would sustain a drainage field ✔️

The installation of a drainage field was undertaken , construction using polybed, [ a 4” / 110 mm, perforated OSMA pipe, surround by polystyrene beads, netted and terram wrapped ], tested system complying with H2 building regulations.

Installation started 9th October, completion date 3rd November 2023, overseen by Chester, Cheshire West building control, at which point Environment Agency permit registration will be completed.
