Site Visit & Drainage Investigation at Heath Farm - Environment Agency Compliance
We recently carried out a site visit and drainage investigation at Heath Farm following concerns around Environment Agency compliance.
During the inspection, several issues were identified with the existing system -
The septic tank was located within the orchard
Foul water was discharging directly into a watercourse
Surface water was correctly segregated and directed into soakaways
The direct discharge to the watercourse meant the system was non-compliant with current Environment Agency regulations, requiring remedial works.
Following detailed discussions with Mandy, the property owner, we provided a quotation to install a Marsh Ensign PE06IPS sewage package treatment plant.
The system was specified to ensure -
Full compliance with Environment Agency requirements
No risk of stream water entering the treatment plant during adverse weather or high water conditions
A reliable, long-term solution suitable for the site layout and ground conditions
The quotation was accepted shortly after.
Installation began on the 16th January and was completed on 23rd January 2026. Ground conditions and weather were challenging throughout the installation, however works were completed within the agreed timeframe.
All works were carried out to the required standards and subsequently passed Cheshire East Building Regulations, including Part P electrical certification.
The site was left clean and tidy, exactly as requested by the client, and exactly as we expect on every installation project.
