Sevendails property compliance - home owners drainage survey !

Following a request to attend Sevendials to confirm if the property adhered to Environment Agency 2020 binding rules. The property his connected to a septic tank located within the adjacent farmers field, the owner was confident that the septic tank was connected to a drainage field, install in 1990’s when the property was built.

Based on site observations and comments we suggested that an Home Owners drainage survey be completed, observations ;-

as per photo, surface water gulley tanking foul water from kitchen sink & down stairs toilet sink.

comment - the drainage field installed using 100 mm flexible land drainage pipe.

These two points would suggest non - compliance ;

a) surface & foul drainage combined.

b) drainage field pipework does not comply with building regulations, linear meterage unknown
