Based on information / discussions it was agreed that Croft Lodge would have its own sewage system ;

The system complies with Environment Agency binding rules, no consent to discharge is require volume below 5 m3 / day

COMPLIANCE @ THE COTTAGE - EXCHANGE DEADLINE!

We completed a homeowners drainage survey for Mr Warren @ The Cottage, the property is under offer, the solicitor requested confirmation that the waste water system complied with EA binding rules.

All site drainage was segregated, septic tank correct size operating at its correct working level, ‘ T ‘ pipes in situ, unfortunately the discharge went direct into the adjacent boundary watercourse  - NON COMPLIANT SYSTEM.

Unfortunately there is no available land to install a drainage field, sewage package treatment plant required, to be completed by 4th April 2025, in time to exchange contracts.

  • Marsh Ensign delivered, Saturday 28th March 2025, tank in position / concreted  / piped up 1700 hrs 1st April 2025, electric connection/ certification and Cheshire East building final inspection 2nd April, site reinstate ,skips removed, all completed Thursday 3rd April 2025, contract exchange 4th.

DRAINAGE SURVEY @ THE HAWTHORNS - cost saving !!!

Following an Home Owners Drainage Survey at the Hawthorns it was confirmed that surface / foul waste water segregated, septic tank at its correct working level all relevant pipework in situ. The discharge went to a watercourse , hence system NOT Environment Agency compliant, we completed a porosity test. Calculated the linear meterage of drainage field required.

A designated drainage field was installed / constructed within the paddock, in accordance with build control ( H2 ) regulations, using the existing septic tank, client happy that a new sewage package treatment plant was not required..

Building regulations documentation provided, porosity test calculation results supplied for records, site left clean and tidy

We attended the Gables [ Preston area ],to confirm if the 4 bedroom properties septic tank complied with EA binding rules, a Home owners drainage survey was completed Wednesday 5th March 2025. Mr Wirral re Dove Cottage required a sewage treatment plant to upgrade his 50 year plus septic tank which was discharging into the adjacent Brook.Following a conversation on what to do, we agreed to install a Marsh Enco 2G sewage package treatment plant to rectify the problem. THE WILLOWS - INSTALLATION PRIOR TO PROPERTY SALE

Following a site visit to The Willows and discussions with the property owner who required a sewage package treatment plant, to be located within a traffic-able area. The property was currently sharing a septic tank with the adjacent property, the septic tank was located in the neighbours garden, hence the client requires their own unit on their own property,

The Marsh Ensign was installed within in a turning area, the unit was installed In accordance with building regulations, strapped onto a concrete base then surround with C25 semi dry concrete including mesh .

All foul drainage was connected, the discharge was connected to the existing outfall, building ‘ electric certification completed.

The property now meets the Environment Agency’s binding rules and can be sold.

BARN CONVERSION - ACCREDITED INSTALLER REQUESTED

Following a request from Marsh Industries Ltd to attend Humbleton Barn conversion in Derby to install a Marsh Ensign PE06IPS sewage package treatment plant, the property owner requested an accredited installer.

The foul system would serve a barn conversion then discharge into a dyke located on the boundary of the property. Following discussions with the Environment Agency and building control it was agreed to install a IPS unit, although the dyke was continually flowing we had to ensure no surface water entered the sewage plant in adverse weather conditions - pumped outlet set 300 below embankment / ground level, 4’ / 110 mm UPVC discharge pipe diverted downwards ensuring no embankment erosion, directing flow into water course when low flows.

Steve took lads to Derby on 27th January 2025, tank delivered, working with developers architect and building control, installation will be completed by 25th January 2025,

Compliance installation - Yew Tree Farm Congleton

Starting work at Yew Tree Farm Congleton, weather had been terrible , snow melting, rain - and we had a Marsh Ensign PE06IPS sewage treatment plant to install.

As week progressed weather improved, all underground drainage pipework installed, tank location excavated, concrete base, strap eyelets installed, tank positioned in place, strapped, surround to turrets with C25 semi dry concrete, imported reclaimed / recycled sand to reinstate to ground level, clay spoil removed off site. All drainage connections made , electric connected, Cheshire East building control certificated, site left clean and tide, unfortunately we went over 2 days, but as normal lads worked week-end ensuring we finished by 20th January 2025 as requested by client 👌

MARSH DELIVERY - 3 sewage plants to be installed by the 17th January 2025

As the Christmas period was upon us , we required sufficient tanks to complete installations up to week commencing 13th January 2025.

Manufactures closing for festive holidays, transport delivery companies unable to confirm delivery dates, so we requested 3 Marsh Ensign sewage package treatment plants be delivered to our installation sites on Monday 16th December 2024. Steve met driver at Yew Tree Farm Wybunbury @ 0800 hours to enable lads to start install, he then continued to The Old Post office, install 6th January 2025, finally Yew Tree Farm Congleton, install 13th January 2025.

Lads will then be of to Derby for install of a Marsh PE06IPS w/c 20th January 2025, new year looking good.
