DRAINAGE FIELD SURVEY - GLENCOE
Following a telephone call from the above property owner requesting assistance with a failed drainage field, we agreed to attend the site and provide a solution.
On arrival on site we observed settled sewage flowing from a manhole located within the rear garden, in addition the septic tank served TWO properties. At this point we suggested the following schedule; :-complete a porosity test within the area designated for the drainage field , in accordance with current building regulations {H2}, this will confirm if the ground can sustain a drainage field, if so we can calculate the linear meterage of drainage field required to serve the development. In addition we would complete a drainage survey to confirm foul & surface water drainage systems were segregated, internal fibre of drains, plus dye test to confirm no discharge to a water course.
Both the above were completed , no discharge to a water course was found and all drains we’re segregated. Quotes provided for 3 options, a) drainage field, b) sewage package treatment plants for each individual property, c) feasibility / cost to connect to United Utilities foul mains.
