Following a 📞 call from Highfields Cottage, Blackhurst Farm Road requesting if we could supply and install a foul waste water system In accordance with Environment Agency binding rules. Unfortunately the client had been let down by another installer and required the work completing asap.

Following discussions with a local organisation in the CW5 area we were asked to provide an upgrade of their foul waste water system. The original septic tank was damaged due to ingress of water , following a drainage survey it was confirmed that the discharge entered a water course in an adjacent field, the septic tank was also undersized for the development.

Information provided from the client indicated that a 75PE sewage plant would be required to service the development, following discussions with Neil Prescott, Marsh industries regional manager, we obtained a drawing, and we will be attending site on Thursday 31st October 2024 to clarify the tank is correct and provide a supply and installation cost.

Following contact by a developer in the SY14 area, asking if we can install a sewage package treatment plant that he had purchased direct. The unit was for a barn conversion - 4 properties, 2 × 3 bedroom & 2 × 4 bedroom. We confirmed that the sewage plant was sized correctly, a permit to ground would be required from the Environment Agency if the unit was going to a drainage field, if to a watercourse a consent would not be required, discharge less than 5m3 / day .

Following a site visit in Buerton Cheshire we were asked if the property sewage system complied with Environment Agency binding rules.

The current tank could not be classed as a septic tank, no ‘ T ‘ pipes in position, large quantity of floating material on tank which discharges into a soak away !!!!

We attended site at the White House in Flintshire to determine if the current septic tank adhered to the current Natural Resources Wales bind rules.

• the property is served by a conventional septic tank, which outfalls into the adjacent farm land.

• the tank is of the correct size for the property and has a NRW permit as is required

• the issue with the outlet drainage is that the ground is saturated, water table higher than drainage field - hence area water logged

• options available to install a sewage treatment plant, which could go to a water course if available, the daily discharge volume would be 0.9 m3 / day.
