WASTE WATER DISCHARGE CHECKS

The discharge of domestic partially treated / treated waste water requires authorisation / permitting from the Environment Agency, alas the procedure varies, we would suggest you inquire with your local area Environment Agency Office prior to starting the installation of a waste water system.

# England - Septic tank or sewage package treatment plants require a permit for discharges to ground above 2 m3 / day., Sewage package treatment plants discharging to a water course require a permit for discharge volumes above 5 m3 / day

# Wales - permits required for all discharges ; contact Natural Resources Wales, ( register your septic tank or small sewage package treatment plant )
