ENVIRONMENT AGENCY - AMENDED

The Environment Agency have amended their web site to allow a septic tank conversion unit to be acceptable as long as the unit in question is compliant to EN12566 , in addition British Water have also been updated with regard to the amendment.

WHEN YOU INQUIRE ABOUT A SEPTIC TANK CONVERSION UNIT, ENSURE THE EN12566 test certificate / kite mark is printed on the unit

The Environment Agency web page as now been updated / amended, remember your sewage treatment system must meet the British Standard that was in force at the time of installation - currently BS EN 12566 for small sewage treatment plants, a septic tank conversion unit must also comply.
